Kids Being Pushed Aside

I was reading an article on the Internet that just really struck a nerve with me! There are states that are contemplating banning children from airplanes, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. If they don't ban kids altogether they might have set hours when kids can be there and when they cannot! This just isn't fair! I am starting to feel that animals have more rights than babies and children! Can parents help when there kids act out? NO! For example: last night we had Brads Ozone Solutions picnic and guess whose child was throwing the biggest tantrum? That's right, it was mine! Me and my husband tried all the things we could think of to calm her down because this was really embarrassing but nothing worked. I can understand where people would like peace and quiet especially in a nice quiet restaurant but really? Not allowing kids to go certain places? So what, are we just supposed to lock our kids up at home and not take them out to experience what being social is? Sorry, I just can't believe people would even consider this!
While we are on this topic there is another topic that bothers me. Have you seen all of those animal rescue commercials on TV? The ones about rescuing abused and abandoned animals? Where are these commercials for babies being aborted and children being abused? I guess I care a little bit more about human life than animals! Not saying we shouldn't care for animals but I would like to see a little more work being done for babies and kids who don't have a choice! That is enough of my ranting! Just needed to state my opinion!

6 Years Ago Today

6 years ago today I married my best friend! Of course we had to pick the hottest day of the summer so we couldn't take many outdoor pictures because the cameras wouldn't work in the heat! Despite the weather it was the best day of my life! My sister planned a breakfast for me, bridesmaids, and moms and sisters. It was great! Then we went to get our hair done and when I got back to my parents house the whole Foreman family was hanging out there getting Subway for lunch! I just remember feeling overwhelmed that all of these people were there for my special day and many had to travel a ways! After eating went to the church to get ready to see my handsome new husband and take pictures! We were so lucky that our friend Jon Kiel was able to be back from Iraq for 2 weeks when our wedding took place so he was able to attend! The wedding was amazing! I couldn't have asked for anything better!
Now, 6 years later and 2 kids I would say we are still in love just as much as we were than! We are definitley more busy than we were than but the love is still there! I pray that we may have many more years together to make a lot more memories!! I love you Brad and can't wait to spend the day with you and our kids today!

Our Life Lately

Oh the summer days are flying by! I had so much I wanted to get done and do this summer and not much of it is happening. We've made it to the pool a few times but that is about it! Every weekend is full of activity. This last Saturday we had the Hull olympics with friends. It was so much fun! Are friends have a very nice big yard and they had all different kinds of yard games set up. There was also a slip n' slide. I think slip n' slides should be left for the kids too do. I went down it a few times and have bruises all over! It was fun at the time! Sunday we had my niece Cora's baptism and had lunch at a park afterwards. She is such a cute little peanut!
This coming Friday is me and Brads 6 year anniversary! We haven't really decided on any plans yet. Brad is going to take the afternoon off so we will see what we do!
I have also been dealing with my 3 year old daughter! I thought 2 was bad but man oh man! 3 is horrible!!! My sister always said she thought 3 was worse than 2 and she was right! She has an attitude like a teenager and constantly likes to likes to fight with me and just be bossy! Will 4 be better? I hope so! Also, any advice on how to get a 3 year old to clean up her mess? I have tried all that I have thought of and nothing works!! Hope you are all enjoying your summer! Can't believe how fast it is going so enjoy the last weeks until school starts!!

4th of July

Over the 4th of July weekend we went camping! Our friend was nice enough to fix up an area where the guys ride dirt bike and turned it into a nice campground. There were no showers so we were a little gross but that's ok. We went swimming in a little pond. We had a blast! Friday night when we got there and set up camp the bugs were horrible! I don't know if I have ever seen mosquito's that bad but the other nights they weren't that bad. We got a little sunburned but at least I finally look like I have been outside and not hiding in our house! It was great to spend time with friends! Lots of late nights and kind of early mornings but that's what camping is! Here are some pictures of our camping trip:

Monday night we went with our friends Josh and Roxy to the car derby in Inwood and then watched the fireworks. We took Abby along and Benjamin went to Grandpa and Grandmas house and saw fireworks with them. He hates loud noises so we didn't want to take him to the derby because he would scream the whole time! Abby had a lot of fun (after daddy got her some candy). I love watching fireworks! Especially when there is music playing in the back ground. A song that this 4th of July really sticks in my head is "In God We Still Trust". Love it! It is down in my play list if you would like to listen to it! Hoping that you all had a great 4th of July weekend!
